Accessibility statement
I want everyone to be able to read and use this website, whatever technology you use and however you read best.
This statement applies to peoplechoreographer.co.uk. It was prepared on 8 September 2026 and is reviewed whenever the site changes in a way that affects how you use it.
The standard I am aiming for
The site is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. Inclusive design is what I do for a living, so this matters to me beyond compliance.
In practice that means the site is built so you can:
- Read comfortably: plain English, short sentences, dark grey text on a soft cream background, and a body text size of 18 pixels with nothing smaller than 14.
- Zoom to 400 percent, or use a 320 pixel wide screen, without text overlapping or scrolling sideways.
- Navigate with a keyboard alone, with a clear red focus indicator on every link, button and form field.
- Use a screen reader: every page has one main heading, meaningful headings underneath, landmarks for navigation and content, and descriptions on images that carry meaning.
- Tap accurately on a phone: every button and link is at least 44 pixels tall.
- Read without distraction: nothing moves or scrolls on its own, and there is no italic or all-capitals text.
- Understand every link out of context, because each one says where it goes.
What is not fully accessible yet
I know about the following and am working through them:
- Older blog posts were brought across from the previous website. Some images in those posts do not yet have descriptions, and some formatting is uneven. Posts are being tidied one at a time, newest first.
- The policy library, which will offer documents to download, is not live yet. When it arrives, every document will state its format and size in the link, and Word versions will be offered alongside PDF.
- Links to LinkedIn open a site I do not control, and I cannot vouch for its accessibility.
If something gets in your way
If you find a part of this site you cannot use, or you would like any of the content in a different format such as large print or plain text, please tell me. I aim to reply within five working days.

How this was checked
The site was checked against WCAG 2.2 AA using automated scanning, a keyboard-only pass of every journey, screen reader spot checks in Safari with VoiceOver, and tests at 200 and 400 percent zoom and at a 320 pixel viewport. Contrast was measured for every colour pairing in use.
